La Jolla Community Planning Association (LJCPA) is a “private corporation” that is not fair or transparent when conducting our community’s business. Nor does it represent the viewpoint of the majority of the 42,000 residents in our community.
According to the LJCPA website, only 19 LJCPA members in addition to the 18 current trustees will need to be in attendance to establish a quorum, at their March 3rd annual meeting. That’s right just 37 members out of a community of 42,000! Furthermore, fewer than 100 votes will be cast to reelect eight retuning LJCPA trustees. Lead by Joe LaCava, history has shown our community if the election results are inconsistent with the will of the “private corporation”, they will simply amend their bylaws to achieve their preferred election results.
Despite repeated chastising and reprimanding by members of our community, City Staff and San Diego City Planning Commissioners, the volunteers of this “private corporation” simply continue to manipulate the community bylaws and our community plans to achieve their desired goals.
