On May 16, 2014 the La Jolla Association (LJA) requested that the Mayors office investigate the results of the March 2014 election of Trustees by the La Jolla Community Planning Association (LJCPA). On May 29, 2014 the LJA sent a second letter to the Mayor requesting the upcoming July 3, 2014 “special” election be postponed pending resolution of the numerous issues surrounding the LJCPA’s March 2014 annual election. The community of La Jolla deserves a fair and open election of it’s Trustees, not a selection of it’s Trustees by a few individuals.
